Fun Facts

One thing that I love to do when I have time off is to enjoy a movie. I love to just sit, watch a movie and eat "unhealthy snacks such as popcorn, ice cream, and candy. I enjoy traveling to tropical places to enjoy swimming, beaches, and the sun Another fun fact about me is that I hate to shop but I love to go out to eat and experience different types of food.

About Me

I graduated from Stephen F Austin State University in Texas with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education with a specialization in Special. I made the Dean's List twice. Once I graduated, I became a education/north-carolina/raleigh">Special Education Teacher for grades 1-6. I currently also hold a TEFL certificate that allows me to teach English in a conversational manner. I love to write, I have written for websites and I have been an editor for websites and comic books.

Experience

I taught a self-contained, multi-subject education/north-carolina/raleigh">Special Education Class for 4 years. and have taught adult students GED skills. In 2005 I joined the US Military and did 2 tours in Afghanistan. I learned computer skills. With these skills, it took my career in a different direction and I began teaching and training adults in companies how to use specific software. My passion is training and teaching..

Approach

I chose education/north-carolina/raleigh">special education for my field of study in college because I have a learning disability myself. I was actually told in High School that I would not be able to go to college. However, I went to college and came out with a 4.0 average. As a tutor, I feel it is my job to encourage and support the student and give them the tools such as organization skills, and good study habits that will help them grasp information easier and enable them to achieve any goal that they set in life.
