About Me
I'm a Physics Ph.D student at Howard University, Washington, DC. I am in my 5th year and planning to graduate before the end of 2015. I have a Major GPA of 3.64.
After college, I will continue to do research in my field and become a college professor.
I have been doing washington-dc">tutoring since 2006. When I came in the US in 2007 as a student of Southeastern University, I tutored pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Pre-Calculus and Calculus I to the undergraduates of that University. In Fall 2009, I transferred to Howard University. I started teaching Physics I and II Labs and also taught Physics I recitation. I also tutored numerous students outside the university college and high school students. From 2007 to now, I tutored Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I and II, Organic Chemistry, Physics I and II, high school Math and Physics.
in my years of washington-dc">tutoring, I realized that students learn better when they are doing work themselves. So my approach is, when we meet the first time, I will try to know what is the student goals? what does the student want to achieve at the end of our washington-dc">tutoring session. I'm saying that because I know some students just want their homeworks and tests to get done while others want to really learn the subject so they can be able to do their homeworks and do well on their tests. What I usually do with student is that I will do one example that is similar to the homework or test problem and let the student goes to the board do the homework himself/herself. At the beginning of each washington-dc">tutoring session, I will test the student's knowledge about what we are going to do, so I will know how to approach.
