Fun Facts

I was born in Pokhara, Nepal and I came to America 6 years ago. When I first came to America, I didn't speak English; today I speak three languages fluently (including English) and can interpret about five. I have been singing and playing various instruments since I was five years old, and started performing in competitions at age nine.

About Me

I am a senior at the University of Texas at Dallas. My major is Biology and I am a premed student. My GPA is unknown as of now. I graduated with the rank 7 out of about 500 students. After undergraduate studies, I want to go to medical school to further my knowledge.

In high school I tutored many students in Math (Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB and BC). I have been austin">tutoring in math since I was a sophomore in high school to prepare students for TAKS/STARS exams.

Experience

In high school, I was involved in various organizations such as National Honor Society, Student Council, Sudent Congress, Academic Decathlon, which allowed me to austin">tutor other students.

Approach

When I first came to America, I didn't speak english. I struggled in school due to this reason and taught myself how to speak english in less than 3 years. I was able to do this because of teachers who helped me gain the confidence necessary and provided me with resources required in order to be successful. As a austin">tutor, I attempt to provide my students with the same resources and help which allowed me to be successful.
