About Me

THE DOMINIC ELLIS QUARTET
Dominic Ellis is an award-winning maryland">University of Maryland-maryland/baltimore">Baltimore County Jazz Studies graduate. He is proficient in Jazz, Classical, R&B, Hip Hop, Calypso, Afro-Cuban, Rhumba, Mambo, Bossa Nova, Samba, Indie Rock, Metal, Reggae, Salsa, and Cha Cha. He has been featured on several albums including two albums of original compositions. He regularly performs in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. He has also performed in Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, and West Virginia.

Experience

I am a jazz saxophonist and professional composer but I have a passion for math and science. I took this pandemic to reinvest myself into math and science taking several online courses on brilliant and khan academy. I have completed 35 math courses up to differential equations and group theory and completed 15 science courses up to quantum computing and computational biology.

Approach

I love learning and teaching and I although I didn't study education in college, I have learned from the best. I employ methods that depend on the learning style of the student as well as where they are in the class.
