Fun Facts

Ever since I was little, my sister and I would spontaneously break out into song and dance. Now we are both in our 20's and living in different states, doing completely different things, but every time we see each other, whether in public or not, it always happens.

About Me

I am a sophomore at the University of Puget Sound. I am currently undecided but leaning towards a physics major with a minor in education. I'm not sure what I plan to do after college, but I'm sure it will be something that keeps me alert and based around real time problem solving.

Experience

I've worked in customer service since I was about 12, but when I started high school I began tutoring at a couple different non-profits in LA. I first worked for the boys and girls club, running events and keeping the kids up to date on their assignments. After that, I worked for 826LA, a program that focused on elevating k-8 grade reading and writing skills. I really loved working with kids, and finding new ways to make learning creative and fun.

Approach

In high school I became the leader of my jazz band. This role taught me to pander to many different audiences, as well as teach in a group setting. I learned how to get comfortable with instruments I was unfamiliar with in order to help my bandmates work through exercises, songs, and even improvisational pieces.
