HI! My name is Navya and I'm a freshman at UC San Diego, majoring in Math and Econ. I've tutored middle and high school students for 3+ years and love making the process personalized to your needs. Learning can be fun and I look forward to achieving this with you!

Experience

I am a freshman studying Economics and Mathematics at UC San Diego, and plan to get a business school degree after college. I am a dedicated and highly adaptable tutor with 3+ years of experience working with elementary and middle school children from various backgrounds. I started tutoring after school hours when I was in eighth grade and continued the teaching process until I was in twelfth grade. As a teacher, I have worked with some very exceptional but disadvantaged students and helped them realize their potential. I'm detail-oriented and have strong mathematical skills, with a 3.75 GPA. I also have competent communication skills and worked as a lead magazine editor and my own blog writer, so I can assist you with writing! I can also tutor SAT Math or English if needed. Approach

I realize the importance of a teacher in shaping the student's interest for the subject and consecutively their overall performance. Working with students in an outreach program made me realize a lot of them weren't motivated enough to learn. I believe in making the subject easy and fun for you to understand, so that we both can work together at the pace you prefer!
