Fun Facts
One of my passions is event planning. I was voted Events Coordinator for a national youth conference this upcoming summer and I couldn't be more excited! When I am not event planning, I love going to spin class and playing frisbee. Someday soon, I hope to learn how to unicycle.
About Me
I am a freshman at the miami">University of Miami majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I graduated with a 4.53 GPA in the top 5% of my high school, which was the biggest International Baccalaureate school in the nation. I was on the Honor Roll for all 4 years of high school and held many leadership positions, which I plan to continue at the miami">University of Miami. After graduating the miami">University of Miami, I hope to attend Medical School and eventually become a Radiologist.
As a member of National Junior Honor Society, National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and as the Treasurer of National Spanish Honor Society, I have had extensive miami">tutoring experience throughout middle and high school. I have tutored students in a variety of subjects including Biology, Algebra, English, Spanish, Economics, and many more. Now that I am in college, I am excited to miami">tutor younger kids because I would love for more kids to come to love learning just as I have.
I enjoy miami">tutoring because I feel so accomplished and happy when a student's eyes light up and they exclaim "I get it now!" I have been in the position of not being able to understand what was going on in class before, and it is not a fun place to be. I believe that the method used to answer a question or solve an equation is much more important than the final answer, so I place a lot of emphasis on the concepts of the material and make sure that my students have an extremely strong understanding of the basics before moving onto anything more difficult.
