About Me
I attended a specialized STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) boarding school for high school and I'm currently a freshman at NYU studying economics and East Asian Studies-Japanese. I hope to work in investing for a few years before returning to school to get my MBA. After that, I want to work for an investment bank or a hedge fund.
I have experience at school, at home, and professionally. I worked in the writing center during high school, helping students with essays for literature, English, history, and science, as well as college applications. I have helped my sister, who is now in 7th grade, with her homework in various subjects since she was in kindergarten. I'm also a freelance tutor through the online tutoring website WyzAnt, and I teach the same subjects listed in my application.
I typically spend some time looking over the student's syllabus to determine what material is covered. Then I diagnose the student's current level of ability to identify any problem areas that need additional attention. Finally, I tailor an individualized lesson plan that meets the student's needs.
