About Me
Hello!
My name is Ashlee. I am currently finishing up my last 6 weeks of an Accelerated Nursing program at detroit-mercy">University of Detroit Mercy. I graduated from Rochester College, now known as Rochester University with my undergraduate degree 4 years ago. I have a Biology degree and a minor degree focusing in Youth and Family Ministry. I plan on going back to school one more time in the next year to complete a DNP program after I have a year of experience in the field.
Experience
During my undergraduate program, I had the opportunity to babysit and tutor. I've served as a mentor for middle school and high school aged students in which I coached them in different life skills and appropriate study methods. I've had the opportunity to have a clinical rotation at a Head-start program called Stottlemyer. The kids in this program were ages 3-5. As a I approach the end of my program, I would love to be able to help tutor other individuals that are also trying to complete school
Approach
I've always been a very hard worker, but understanding basic concepts and mechanisms didn't always come easy to me. From junior high to high-school, I took several different AP courses and was involved with multiple different extra curricular activities. I quickly learned that proper time management and getting a tutor was the best way I could succeed and learn specific topics well. As a tutor, I plan on exploring different studying methods that will be best fit to each individual I tutor.
