Fun Facts
I am an interdisciplinary artist who uses my interest in premodern literature to conceptualize my digital artwork, photography, and sculpture. I also enjoy painting, baking, and dancing!
About Me
I am a third-year English major at the chicago">University of Illinois at Chicago with a concentration in professional and creative writing. I plan to graduate a year early with a 4.0 and attend a direct PhD program for English and French Literature studies. I also conduct independent research with archival materials at the Newberry Library.
Experience
As a tutor at the University Writing Center, I work with undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students to develop and improve writing skills across a range of disciplines. I'm also a Teaching Assistant at the University Honors College, creating lesson plans and directing lectures on introductory English materials. I have extensive experience working with elementary, middle school, high school, and college students.
Approach
My teaching philosophy values creativity and experimentation, allowing the student to develop critical thinking skills through experiential learning, or "learning by doing." Through practice, persistence, and perseverance, the student will develop an improved outlook, approach, and dedication to their studies.
