Fun Facts
I am an educator, facilitator, and funky motivator currently adding more value to my life and the lives of others. I have taught in person classes for the past four years but I love to travel and want to be able to do both. Taking classes with me will allow you to travel as well!
About Me
I am a man who believes that education is not just academic but emotional as well. I make sure to approach all aspects of a subject when teaching a student, including the student's personal life. I've taught in the poorest neighborhoods in the South Bronx in New York City, and lived in some of the richest neighborhoods in the hills of California. I have much to share in the way of academics, emotional intelligence, and personal and economic growth, it all starts with a strong foundation.
Experience
I have a decade of experience as a leadership development and emotional support coach for adult men, three years of experience as a teenage mentor for young men, four years of academic and after-school classroom experience for kindergarten to highschool, and one year and a half years of online teaching for kindergarten to high school. I can handle a wide variety of issues with patience, empathy, and a solution oriented approach.
Approach
I am an empathic solution oriented thinker, teacher, and mentor. No matter what the subject matter I ALWAYS make it relevant to the students individual life. I make sure to ask engaging and thought provoking questions, allowing students to think and learn quicker and with a more long lasting understanding. I have lifetime students! I allow students to contribute and even teach me at times. This leads to full engagement and memorization of how to implement the subject matter at hand.
