Fun Facts

I am the third child of six, and the first born in the United States after my family emigrated from Ukraine. Russian was my first language, although English is now my primary! I participated in vocal competitions for 5 years, and I played clarinet for 9 years.

About Me

I am a senior clinical nursing student at Biola University. Named to the Dean's List for the last four years, I am hard-working and personable, striving for excellence in all things. Upon graduation, I hope to work in the intensive/critical care unit with a long-term goal of becoming a family nurse practitioner.

Experience

As a member of the National Honor Society, I was entrusted to tutor middle school students with special needs in math. Further, I tutored a variety of courses from elementary school to college, including French, pre-calculus, guitar, and organic chemistry.

Approach

I believe that to best personalize teaching, it is important to have a basic understanding of developmental psychology in combination with a genuine care for the person. I believe that with a greater knowledge of the inner workings, we are more patient and gracious toward one another. I value students by honoring open and honest communication, creatively teaching, and asking for feedback from the learner.
