I am originally from Buffalo, NY. My family moved to Texas (a long time ago) when I was a senior in high school. I really enjoy riding my bike, it's how I get my heart pumping!

I am retired from full-time teaching.

Experience

I taught elementary school for over 15 years in Garland ISD and Dallas ISD. I began volunteering for ESL instruction when I took a hiatus from Elementary teaching.. Soon, After a year of volunteerism, I began teaching GED/HSE classes. I I have a real knack for teaching math. Students really seemed to "get it", everything from fractions to Pre-Cal and and more.

Approach

My approach is positive encouragement. Depending on the assignment and learning styles, approaches can be flexible. Bringing understanding to concepts by introducing manipulatives or multi-media. I may obtain other texts and multi-media to present a fresh approach to a session . Having an analytical approach gives learner an ability to critically think so when presented with slightly different scenario, it will not confuse.
