I am the Director of Music at a church in Indiana, and I'm working on my first book about the philosophy of beauty.

Experience

As a professional musician and academic philosopher, I have worked many years as a tutor and teacher in music, writing, and philosophy at many levels, from high school to post-undergrad.

Approach

Without a doubt, the most important goal of tutoring is to help the student come to their own understanding of the material through a thorough understanding of the basic relevant principles. My tutoring style focuses on building my students' knowledge and skill from the ground up, solidifying their confidence and enabling them to tackle whatever is thrown their way. My goal is to become eventually obsolete and unnecessary for my students' success.
