I am a Medical student. I spend my spare time researching and volunteering. I enjoy opportunities to aid and assist others in any way possible. I have traveled to Haiti, Turkey, and Kuwait and spent time volunteering or interning in each country.

About Me

I attend Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and I graduated from Wayne State with a Bachelors in Biochemistry with Honors. I have experience as a youth director in my community, so I am very comfortable working with students of all ages. I have also worked as an event coordinator for student groups at Wayne State.

Experience

I have been certified as a detroit">tutor for literacy, and I have tutored various individuals through Pro-Literacy Detroit to improve reading and writing skills. Additionally, I have taught classes between 20 to 30 foreign students in English and linguistics.

Approach

I first look to assess the student and test strengths and weaknesses. Then, a plan of action is set in place in order to work on the student's weaknesses and improve upon his/her strengths. The plan involves teaching the student the appropriate material, and then allowing them to practice the material followed by further review of the material. Additional steps can be taken to further emphasize difficult materials if the student is still struggling.
