Fun Facts

Fun facts about me are that I'm the second of eleven children, served in the military, lived in Australia, and have four children. If you ever get a chance to ride elephants in Bali, I highly recommend it. Indonesia may have been my favorite vacation destination.

About Me

One thing I never get tired of doing is writing. Reading is a close second. To make it better, I could do them both outside and enjoy every moment. I love working with students of all ages and helping them find joy in the English Language.

Experience

I have professional education in psychology, writing, and teaching. I enjoyed working with elementary age children years ago, and more recently, teaching junior high and high school students. Since I also have a Master's degree in writing and a Bachelor's in psychology, I am confident in teaching courses related to each.

Approach

One thing I enjoy doing is empowering my students so that they not only learn the skills, but also learn to enjoy these skills as they grow in confidence. I bring my enthusiasm and optimism to each session. I believe in my students and care about each one. I meet them where they are and help them grow and learn from there.
