I love learning languages and I am fluent in Spanish, French and have a small Italian foundation. In my senior year of high school I participated in a semester abroad program in Grenoble, France.
About Me
For my high school education I attended Phillips Exeter Academy, a preparatory boarding school in Exeter, NH. Currently I attend the University of Arizona where I am part of the Honors College, am a Sustainable Plant Systems major with a 3.6 GPA and I've made the Dean's List. My future plans are to study abroad next fall at Sciences Po in Paris and once I graduate I hope to work in the food industry.
In high school I was a member of the Peer tucson">Tutoring Club in which I helped students with Spanish for 4 years, Math for 2 years, French for 2 years and Chemistry for 2 years. I would tucson">tutor 4 times a week for 2 hours and it was a very rewarding experience being able to teach my fellow classmates and see their progress. I wish to continue making an impact in others lives and I hope to do this through the Frog tucson">Tutoring program.
Since my first day of kindergarten I have always been an avid learner and I still cherish the notion of picking up a new book and learning new material. When I was a tucson">tutor in high school I would always try and project this attitude towards my peers and instill a positive attitude towards learning. With this approach learning becomes more about understanding the material rather than just memorizing facts to regurgitate on a test. This way I hope to instill a positive attitude towards learning that will be beneficial both in and outside the classroom.
