About Me

I am a kindergarten teacher at Rylander Elementary in Katy ISD. I have enjoyed being the Ms. Frizzle of Rylander.

Experience

I worked as a Curriculum Coordinator at British Private Prep School, working with children ages 3-5. As a curriculum coordinator, I learned how to combine firmness with empathy. I am currently working as a kindergarten teacher at Rylander Elementary. My position as a teacher in Katy ISD has taught me the rigor that is expected of students. In my classroom, I not only encourage students to learn, but to express their creativity in order to promote both academic and social-emotional growth.

Approach

Being raised by teachers, they instilled in me the importance of education. Through my experiences as a tutor, teacher, and curriculum coordinator, I learned how to be sensitive to students' needs based on age and family background. I believe that the most important parts of learning are making it fun and giving students the wheel to lead there own educational journey.
