About Me
I am a Master of Education alumni of The University of North Texas. I have an Associates of Arts degree in teaching with an emphasis in early childhood education. I graduated from UNT with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. I am currently in nursing school at UTA. My goal is to become a Registered Nurse, and afterwards a Cardiologist.
Experience
As a member of KAPPA Delta PI International Honor Society in Education, I have had the opportunity to create curriculum’s and teach students in grades 2nd- 11th, both in person and virtually. During this time, I also tutored college students and adults in preparation for various state exams. During my weekends, I tutor preschoolers, preparing their foundation of learning. My degree in Sociology also gives me the platform to teach two things that are intimately related.
Approach
As a child, I’ve always been intrigued by education, science and how the mind thinks. I was a very shy kid, who knew the material, but didn’t want to speak it. That was until I was in the 6th grade, and my teacher helped me overcome this barrier, with her persistence and patience. As a tutor I aim to bring my cheerful, motivating, yet patient attitude to each session. My goal is to discover each student weakness, and create a plan that centers his/her unique learning style.
