Fun Facts

I enjoy reading and learning new skills related to data engineering and physics. When I was in middle school I attended an academic competition representing my district. In high school, I was the top of my math class.

About Me

I am a Data Engineer at Amazon Alexa. I have been working as a Data Engineer for the past 2 years, but graduated with a Physic B.S. back in 2018 from the University of California Santa Barbara. I am interested in the overlap of technology and science.

Experience

During college, I was a CalTeach Physical Sciences and Engineering (CTPSE) Noyce Scholar. In that position I was in charge of tutoring high school students in physics and guiding through their yearly projects. Students would often have questions on concepts of physics and math, I would explain such concepts and relate it to their projects. I have always been involved in tutoring in these fields, and have tutored friends and others during high school and college.

Approach

I have enjoyed physics and mathematics throughout my life; I started enjoying these topics when my dad would ask analytical questions regarding simple things -- think of areas of the house, money conversion and such. As a tutor, I try to relate my teaching to concepts that everyone can relate to. I believe it is important to make relations when learning new information, it will be easier to retrieve and make significant connections.
