About Me

I grew up in Dallas, Texas and I am currently studying mechanical engineering at Brigham Young University. My dream is to one day work in energy conservation and start a water purification non profit.

Experience

While in high school, I tutored elementary school aged kids in reading, math, and science. I have taken many higher level math and science classes in college and it is something I continue to work on. In addition to the core subjects, I lived in Argentina for 9 months as part of a two year long church mission where I learned how to speak Spanish fluently.

Approach

Honestly, sometimes school and learning are so hard. While I did well on my own in high school, I have really had to reach out for help in college. Because of this, I know how it feels to not understand something when you feel everyone else does or how hard it can be to ask for help. I want to be the helpful teacher/tutor who can help students find their confidence in the classroom. My philosophy is that you don’t have to understand everything right away, but with effort and desire you can.
