During my time at the University of Colorado, I worked as an undergraduate washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor for about 3 years. I tutored General Biology as well as writing throughout those years. These sessions ranged from 1-6 students, all with different learning styles and educational needs. Sessions were focused on material review, test preparation and development of strong study skills.
I always try to get my students as involved as possible in washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring sessions. I believe that washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring should be an interactive, two way experience. It is important to create a comfortable washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring environment in which students are not afraid to ask questions and participate actively in the session. I often utilize visual teaching aids, as I feel it helps to cater to students with different learning styles.
