About Me
I have lived in Fort Worth my whole life and graduated from Texas Christian University. Even though I just retired from teaching I still feel called to help students who need tutoring. I make learning fun and my students can’t wait for our sessions. It’s all about forming relationships and being a good role model too.
Experience
I taught fifth grade all subjects for 20 years at a public school, Then I moved into charter schools and taught there for four years. My favorite job was being a math tutor for a year.
Approach
My approach is to meet the child and let them know I am genuinely interested in getting to know them and helping them. I always make our first session fun so they will look forward to it and get the most out of it. I start with diagnostic tools to gauge what level the child is on and then design a plan specifically individualized for that student to help them progress. With lots of encouragement along the way and fun educational experiences I usually see great results!
