Fun Facts

Fun facts about me are: I recently moved back from living in Taiwan! I lived there for two years where I taught English as well as studied Chinese. I also did a lot of traveling around Asia and the Middle East in my time away. Other fun facts about me are that I have learned how to teach sometimes boring and tedious topics in a fun way so that my students often learn without even knowing it!

About Me

My name is Ayana and I am 24 years old. I studied biology as a my major in my university and I absolutely love science and teaching. As I said before, I recently returned from living abroad and I taught English for the entire two years that I was away. During that time I was able to develop not only as a better teacher, but as a person who is very sensitive and aware of what students, especially children, need to be motivated and encouraged to learn.

I was actually homeschooled until my senior year in high school.

I tutored biology while still in college, but my memphis">tutoring really took off once I got to Asia. Not only did memphis">tutor in English, but also in other fields such as Biology, test prep and professional writing. Though I had an official job in Taiwan, I found that memphis">tutoring became much more of an interest to me and within two years, I tutored more than 10 different classes all but two were from referrals!

For me, memphis">tutoring is so natural to me that it's simple enough to say that it's just my thing!

My memphis">tutoring approach varies based on the student(s) I am teaching. For younger students, my approach tends to be structured, yet, broken up with fun activities in order to enforce the ideas that I present.

For older students who are either in high school or above, I tend to listen to their initial goals or concerns and create a plan for them that allows them to tackle their specific needs strategically.
