About Me
I am currently working for the NYC Department of Education. I live in Queens with my spouse and our two lovely little dogs. I am a person that is passionate about helping others, which is why I chose a career in education.
Experience
During my time as a education/new-york/queens">Special Education Teacher for NYC Public Schools, I have gained a lot of experience teaching learners of diverse needs. I have taught self-contained and ICT classes. Additionally, I have delivered lessons through a variety of platforms, from live in the classroom to virtual lessons via Zoom.
Approach
I approach students with a growth-mindset. I like to meet my learners at their level and build them up towards their goals, one step at a time. When I've approached students this way, I've noticed that they allow themselves to take more risks, which is an important step for academic growth.
