Fun Facts
I love learning about cultures around the world; my favorite hobbies are music and sports, especially playing and watching soccer. I speak 3 languages fluently and a couple more at the intermediate level.
About Me
I am a junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering at Binghamton University, with a concentration in Computational Biosystems, which I have recently chosen as I have been getting into programming and have been intending on following a more unconventional career path for my major.
Experience
I was a member of the Honors students tutoring services in high school; I have plenty of experience with tutoring informally, from a friend's little brother learning English in middle school, to helping my girlfriend this school year with college physics, calculus and Italian classes.
Approach
I believe that one truly understands something only if they are able to explain it in simple and concise terms to someone who has no idea about the topic. Math and science classes always build upon previous topics, therefore it is fundamental to understand each building block of a more complex subject.

College Algebra Tutoring
Math is my best suit. Up to the last math class I have taken in college, I never achieved a grade less than A (in college) or less than 95 (in high school). I believe I can apply my understanding of mathematical logic to help a student be successful even in trig, my knowledge of which is only comprised of what I have learned in higher level classes and self-teaching, since I did not have the opportunity to take this specific class in high school.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
Math is my best suit. Up to the last math class I have taken in college, I never achieved a grade less than A (in college) or less than 95 (in high school). I believe I can apply my understanding of mathematical logic to help a student be successful even in trig, my knowledge of which is only comprised of what I have learned in higher level classes and self-teaching, since I did not have the opportunity to take this specific class in high school.
Calculus I Tutoring
I have taken Calculus my freshman year of college without having had the opportunity to take Precalculus in high school. I believe this attests well to how one can adapt their mathematical thinking from "algebra mode" to "calculus mode": I initially had difficulty understanding the logic behind limits, for example, but after some practice it was all clear in my mind. Before applying for FROG tutoring, I have had experience helping a few friends do much better in the class than they would have done otherwise.
Calculus 2 Tutoring
Calculus II may be the most challenging lower level math class to take in college, however it is just the collection of various techniques, which can be simple in their nature. My understanding of where each needs to be used is fundamental, as well as the puzzle-like nature of series. I have helped my girlfriend secure an A in the class and, trust me, she is not a natural at this - you can do the same!
Calculus 3 Tutoring
As an engineering major, my knowledge of Calculus I and II is necessary, however in the real world everything is in 3D - therefore my understanding of Calculus III is essential. With respect to its 2 predecessors, this class uses a different notation and thinking mode, which I have found useful in solving many real-life problems regarding, for instance, mechanics of fluids and solids.
Chemistry I Tutoring
In high school, I took AP Chemistry, earning a 5 on the AP. My college chemistry class was fairly similar, yet more "obnoxious" in its content. I have helped many friends or classmates in the meantime to attain a better understanding or, at least, a better grade! Staying organized in this sense, and understanding the basic components of each topic is my way of being successful in the class.

Physics I Tutoring
Physics is my passion. It requires a deep understanding of each building block making up a certain topic. Before joining FROG, I actually helped my girlfriend from being "clueless" to earning an A- in the class, which you may imagine is a great achievement in such a complex class for many.
Physics II Tutoring
Physics is my passion, and I believe I can draw many parallels between the abstract nature of E&M to other more imaginable examples. It requires a deep understanding of each building block making up a certain topic. Before joining FROG, I actually helped my girlfriend from being "clueless" to earning an A- in the class, which you may imagine is a great achievement in such a complex class for many.

Italian Tutoring
I am a native Italian speaker, and can help one succeed at learning the language at any level of education. I have plenty of experience with going back and forth between English and Italian. For one, I helped the Italian teacher in my high school translate a book she wrote in Italian to English, and I would have no problem doing viceversa.
ESL Tutoring
I speak English fluently, however, it is my third language since I moved to the US at 16. I have helped multiple people improve their language skills; I also have a language learning mindset as I am slowly learning more languages and I understand the process behind learning a new language.

Chemistry Tutoring
As any other quantitative science, one's understanding of chemistry depends on the previous building blocks one should have learned. For a specific given topic, I am able to identify if and what a student may lack in terms of those building blocks, and I would make sure they understand those elements first. How can you build a skyscraper without solid foundations? :)
AP Chemistry Tutoring
In my experience, I got a 5 on the AP exam. Although it may be a taxing course to take in high school, a student taking this class should definitely have the potential to succeed in it. Having some previous knowledge on the subject, the student should be able to achieve this by maintaining maximum organization. For any technical lacks, I would be there to make sure the student understands each building block of the subject.

Psychology Tutoring
I have taken high school and college-level psychology, and it is one of the subjects I am most passionate about. I still retain that knowledge and own many books on human development, behavioral psychology and the likes. I am convinced that through my knowledge and organization I can help a student succeed in this course, almost effortlessly!
SAT Math Tutoring
After a slightly disappointing first attempt at the SATs, I figured out the best ways to study for this standardized test, where one might achieve great results regardless of the extent of their math skills, as there is a specific question format to understand. On my second try, I earned a 760 on the math section, and I believe I can impart that knowledge effectively through my experience.
Conversational Italian Tutoring
I am fluent in both Italian and English, therefore I can aid someone in gaining great Italian skills, not only in the formally taught language, but also in some of the universal, more modern "slang" or the little idiomatic expressions that one might not find a direct translation to otherwise.
SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring
After a slightly disappointing first attempt at the SATs, I figured out the best ways to study for this standardized test. On my second try, I earned a 720 on the language section, even though English is not my first language. This is why I think I understand the grammar and reading sections well enough to impart that knowledge effectively through my experience.
