Fun Facts
Something that a lot of my friends find funny about me is that I love birds and I even have a pet cockatiel named Pippi! She is super sweet and I am a big believer that birds are the best pets! I also love running, biking, and singing, and I was in an acapella group in college.
About Me
I have been a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nurse for 2.5 years, and I am currently in school at Emory University for my master's in nursing. After I graduate, I will be a pediatric nurse practitioner, and I am excited to see where my future takes me! I hope in the future to go back to school and earn my Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP).
Experience
I have tutored since I was in high school! I volunteered in an after-school program for children which focused on reading and assistance with homework. In nursing school, I tutored English as a Second Language online to children ages 3-7 living in Beijing through a program called VIPKID. I have always loved to teach, and I am plan to go back to school to get my doctorate so that I can teach nursing students as a professor. In the meantime, I love tutoring!
Approach
I am very patient and I like to cater to each student's individual goals and study preferences. There is no such thing as a bad question! I have always been one to ask many questions when I am learning something new, and I feel that it is very important for my students to feel comfortable telling me when they don't understand something. I'm happy to explain it again! I want to help students feel more confident in themselves and in their knowledge base.
