About Me

I am a master's student at the University of Vermont studying environmental engineering. I am a member of Tau Beta Pi and the women's soccer team. I love all things outdoors! After college, I hope to improve our planet and how we interact and impact it.

Experience

I have tutored since my junior year of high school, working with students from third to twelfth grades. I predominantly focus on math and science but have experience in all course realms as well as teaching personal management, studying, and memorization skills. Since the pandemic, I have begun online tutoring elementary-aged kids to help them stay on track.

Approach

My method for tutoring works on improving the learner's comprehension and ability to approach all problems, not just those presented to us in school. When I tutor, we play games, make challenges within our sessions to push our limits, and do the hard work now so that when tests or recalls are required they come easily. MISTAKES ARE IMPORTANT. I believe that the greatest part of learning is making mistakes and developing a sense of self-critique so that my learners begin to hold the
