One thing about me is that I could talk before I could walk and I could read novels before I could do basic addition! I love to read and you'll never find me less than an arms length away from a book.

About Me

I graduated from Skidmore College in Upstate New York and have since moved back to my home state of Texas. I plan on attending grad school for my masters in information science and archive management. I love art - both studying it and making it.

Experience

During my time in college, I tutored informally for 3 years and had several opportunities to run classes and host visiting professors as I had a knack for lesson planning and being able to communicate difficult material in several ways to optimize learning for any type of brain.

Approach

My older brother struggled with school all the way through college. He is dyslexic and never "clicked" with academics. Being polar opposite, I always thought he had it so easy with life and friends and just had a tough time with school work until I realized how much it affected his self esteem. But once he made a subtle comment about feeling respected after a good grade, I realized everyone needs help feeling a little confident, especially with school work. I approach tutoring with patience.
