I was a vocalist and sang in bands. I still sing, especially Rock, Jazz and my students love it when I change lyrics with their names. I love to dance, too. I play tambourine, and sometimes drums

About Me

I'm a little old lady who still rocks!!! I am a Reverend and do services during the year, but never bring my spiritual beliefs in the classroom. I love animals, especially dogs and have an adorable poodle named Presley (as in Elvis.) I am married and have one child.

Experience

My goodness, at my age, I have tons. I taught ESL online at Vipkid, taught High School for almost 17 years, 6 years in Intermediate School, a year as a first grade teacher. I taught ABE, ESL in houses of detention while working during my education to support my child ( single mother.)

Approach

As a child, I spoke very little English and I was bullied and laughed at. My first grade teacher, Miss Lettie, taught me after school. There was no ESL back then, so that is why I love teaching English to immigrants.
