Fun Facts

I've traveled to Europe every year since I was 11 months old to visit family in Poland. In fact, I'm completely fluent in Polish and can speak, read, and write in the language. I love cross country running and frequently run with my German Shepherd dog Luna.

About Me

I'm a middle school science teacher and have been teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science for the past 3 years. Prior to teaching, I attended UCSD, where I also worked as a genetics teacher assistant. While working as a teacher, I got my Masters in Education from LMU. In the past year, I applied to medical school and was accepted to California Health Sciences University.

Experience

I've been teaching Science for 3 years and have extensive experience with setting up labs and experiments ranging from earth science, life science, to chemical and physical science. In addition to teaching science, I also taught electives in PE and Health.

Approach

I believe in hands on learning, culturally responsive pedagogy, and using a discussion based approach to teaching. Instead of having students sit through lectures, I like to engage them in meaningful discussions where they can share their thoughts and solve problems on their own by rehearsing steps out loud.
