Fun Facts
I recently went on student exchange for my Spring 2014 semester and it was one of the best semesters of my undergrad so far! I traveled to so many countries and met so many different and great people from various countries. I absolutely love thrill and hope to sky-dive in the near future.You may find me spending my free time biking or looking up cheap tickets for travel!
About Me
I am currently a junior biochemistry major and philosophy minor attending CUNY Hunter College. I am on the pre-dental track and hope to be enrolled in dental school after graduating from Hunter College. I grew a liking for dentistry around high school and ever since then, I've been reaching for that goal!
Experience
I've worked with elementary students at a local summer camp during the summer of my sophomore year in high school and volunteered as a tutor at a local elementary school near my high school. I was a teacher's assistant at the summer camp during the day and a homework tutor in the afternoon. After realizing how impactful I was to my students, I realized I absolutely loved helping others. Approach
As a former tutor, how you present yourself in front of your students is very critical. It would be the best to approach them with an open mind and patience is key. Patience plays a very important role especially with elementary children because some may not be the best students, in terms of behavior, but this shouldn't force one to act disrespectful to the students. Understanding your student's pace should allow you to help them gain skills to further succeed in their studies.
