Fun Facts

I am a big animal and music lover. These are two of the many different things that can brighten my day.I also love singing and dancing, and am an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction books, specifically the Harry Potter and LOTR Trilogies.

I come from a big family of 9 and love learning just about everything. Anything that can make my brain grow bigger is awesome and I basically cannot stop at learning. I hope to one day travel out of my city and study abroad.

About Me

I am currently a senior attending California State University, Fresno and it has been great so far. I am double majoring in Criminology with an option in Forensic Behavioral Sciences and in Anthropology with an option in Physical. I want to become a Forensic Anthropologist and give a voice to the voiceless. I have been on both the Dean's and President's List all my four years of college, with the exception of one semester. In the future I plan on going to graduate school and focusing on Anthropology.

I graduated from Sanger High School, a small town outside of Fresno, and was one of the top students of my class. I also took part in a few clubs and volunteered for a school organization that helped out the less unfortunate in the community. I was also the secretary of the FHA-HERO club at Sanger High for two years. I love learning new things and helping others out.

I believe and know that everyone is different so there are multiple ways to learn something. You can be a visual or audio learner and still be able to grasp the idea of the materials being taught, as well as doing great things in your future by learning through your own way instead of through someone else's way. You do what helps you learn. I will try to the best of my ability to help you learn.

Experience

I am also currently a JE Young fresno">Tutor and have tutored at Fresno High School for a year now. I mainly focus on helping students grow not just academically, but also emotionally. One of my main goals is to help them reach their graduation date or get back on track with their studies once they leave the program. I currently fresno">tutor the high school students with math, specifically Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. I love helping the students out as well as challenging myself.

Approach

I always worked by myself and understood assignments and homework easily. I also work well in groups. However, there were a lot of times that I was too shy to speak up and ask for help. Like most students out there, when I struggled I could have really used a fresno">tutor, one-on-one session. One thing I want to achieve is to help out those students like me and make them feel comfortable and confident in learning. I want those students to feel their every worth in their education.
