About Me
I am a Master's Student studying business analytics at UIC. I previously studied Business and Philosophy at Boston University, earning a Bachelor's degree in each. During my time at BU I also worked with Jumpstart at low-income preschools and as a Research/Teaching assistant for a required business statistics course at the Questrom School of Business.
Experience
I have worked as a Tutor since my high school experience. I was the Tutoring Director of the National Honors Society at my high school. I also taught supplemental English/reading comprehension courses through the Institute of Reading Development. This included Pre K courses with parents and children to model effective learning techniques. Also instructed adult students to increase reading comprehension on a variety of texts as well as increase reading words per minute.
Approach
I try to use the Socratic method and inquisitive methods to help children approach school critically while enjoying teaching concepts they may have difficulty comprehending.
