Fun Facts
I’ve lived in four different states: Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. My mom was elementary teacher and taught me how to read when I was 2 years old. I’m currently learning how to cook!
About Me
I just finished my first year at McPherson College, where I’m majoring in Biochemistry and part of the women’s basketball team. I’m a pre-med student that is hoping to go to UT Southwestern Medical School.
Experience
In high school, I was able graduate 5th in my class, pass 7 AP tests, and independently study to gain a medical assistant certification. I want to share my own study tips with current students. During the COVID school closures, I also assisted my own siblings with their virtual schoolwork.
Approach
I’m a very unconventional learner and often need things explained to me in quirky, weird ways to help me remember. I often come up with strange sayings or acronyms, draw pictures on my assignments, or even rewrite the questions on my assignments. I alter the curriculum I’m learning to tailor it to my needs, and I want to teach other students how to do the same.
