Fun Facts
I was a competitive swimmer for 11 years in AZ! I go to school in Chicago and I prefer the winters there over the summers in Arizona. I’m a big history nerd, but I also love teaching other subjects as well.
About Me
I am a sophomore at Loyola Chicago, double majoring in secondary education and history, as well as pursuing a theatre minor. I have made the dean’s list both semesters of my college experience so far, and performed very well on my ACT and AP tests in high school.
Experience
All of my past jobs have included childcare and teaching. Some include camp counseling and teaching swim lessons at various swim schools. Throughout high school I also volunteered and tutored primarily Algebra to other students. Most of this volunteering was through the National Honors Society.
Approach
I have found that in schooling, many teachers only have one way to teach a certain concept. This is especially seen in math and english classes. However, many students often need to see a problem from a different point of view to gain a full comprehension. Furthermore, students often learn best when they break down a problem step by step, with a tutor acting as a guide rather than lecturing and solving the problem for them.
