Fun Facts

Three of my greatest passions are: music, culture, and dreams. I am enthralled by the brilliance of sound, so I am often found listening to jazz or symphonic music from movie soundtracks. My favorite movies to watch are epic fantasy films, like Lord of the Rings, because I totally value fighting for what is right and I am in love with the idea of freedom. I enjoy being in nature, going on adventures, and experiencing the beauty and fullness of life.

About Me

I am a highly passionate, creative, and value-driven individual, currently pursuing a degree in Ethnomusicology (the global study of music from a cultural perspective) at the University of Arizona. Because I believe there is so much power in the human voice and so much beauty in the freedom of expression, I want to teach music in post-conflict regions and give people the chance to have their voices heard.

In high school I was able to volunteer through the National Honor Society to tucson">tutor students bi-weekly in any subject that needed attention. During my senior year, I had the phenomenal opportunity of being the assistant director for the Girl’s Ensemble at my school, as well as beginning to mentor middle school and high school students through my church ministry. With all of my volunteering experiences, I realized that I loved being a part of the educational, creative, and personal development of students.

Throughout my life I have struggled with a sense of failure tainting my background, but with the help and encouragement of a few visionary teachers and mentors who communicated their belief in me, I became inspired to chase after my dreams. I want nothing more than to continue that legacy by motivating people of all ages to achieve things they never thought was possible. I believe in the potential of each student and I am fully committed to discovering the student’s unique learning styles, ambitions, strengths, and challenges. I believe that each day is filled with new opportunities for breakthrough, so I am thrilled to be a part of Frog tucson">Tutoring and have the chance to see individuals conquer the difficulties of everyday-life and achieve academic and personal victory.
