Fun Facts
I'm born and raised in New York City, I'm a big sports fan--played soccer my whole life-- and I'm a dog lover. I have a passion for merging social work and education to best serve students! I am also half French and I visit my French family every year!
About Me
I am currently finishing my Masters in education and just graduated with my Masters in social work from Columbia University, where I worked as an elementary school social worker for two years. In undergraduate, I studied abroad in Rennes, France where I taught English in a 1st grade classroom in tandem with my schoolwork.
Experience
I studied in a language-intensive study abroad program speaking French every day, and I worked as a Teaching Assistant for the French Department at my undergraduate, Hobart & William Smith Colleges during my senior year. I helped college-level students with homework, exams, conversational practice, and more. I also have experience teaching language fundamentals to 1st grade level from my study abroad. I also taught a French language elective during the summer of 2019 to grades 5-8.
Approach
Like many other language learners I was timid for a long time, afraid to try things and push myself in French. I want to inspire others to try, and to believe that they are capable of speaking and understanding French in a powerful way. Language is a door to many things that we all deserve to open!

MastersElementary Math Tutoring
I have four year of elementary and middle school teaching experience. I have taught math to grades 1 through 7 as a tutor, assistant teacher, student teacher, and head summer school teacher. I have taught both remotely and in classroom, and I absolutely love the joys of teaching math, problem solving, and showing all kids they are mathematicians!
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have experience teaching reading to grades 1-4 as well as teaching Lucy Calkins writing units. Reading is one of the most important things to practice often, and every student deserves to see themselves as a fantastic reader! I look forward to supporting kids in their reading journey no matter where they start!
