I encourage a growth mindset for my students and I strive for a growth mindset in my own life. A love of the learning process is important for students to not be afraid mistakes and to enjoy the process of learning to read, to write, and to improve their language skills. I always challenge myself to keep learning!

About Me

I am a bilingual educator (Spanish/English) with group class and private tutoring experience. I have classroom and remote teaching experience and am passionate about both formats. I am finishing my Master's Degree in Latin American Literature and I am currently completing my US Teaching License certification program. I love to learn and to teach and I value creating a strong teacher-student relationship.

Experience

I have over 4 years of teaching and tutoring experience in both English and Spanish and in the bilingual environment. I am passionate about teaching reading and writing and I have experience working with students with dyslexia.

Approach

I place emphasis on student's developing trust in the learning process and in the teacher to not be afraid to take risks and to grow. I focus on my students becoming experts in the content area they are studying by building on the knowledge we know each session. I have an individualized, flexible approach that gives students choices in the learning process depending on their needs and what best supports them.
