About Me

Published author and poet, trader in stories, inveterate reader. Has been described as the last of the Generalists. His favorite teaching style is to apply lessons from one discipline to a completely separate discipline and watch the results. His current interests include Stem Cell Research, Exoplanets, 3D Printing, the Archimedes Palimpsest, the Herculaneum Papyri, the oceans around Jupiter and Saturn, the exploration of Mars, and using Space Age Technology to illuminate the past.

Approach

Einstein said once that you don’t really understand something until you can explain it to a six-year-old, and I can personally attest to the truth of this. I am on record as believing that 40% of teaching is the ability to explain a concept in four different ways.
