Fun Facts
I am a father of 3, have attended 3 universities, and have taught in 3 states over the last 23 years. I currently teach 5th grade, and work on the Shoshone-Bannock Reservation in Fort Hall, Idaho. I love to learn, and read or listen to dozens of books annually. I have studied opera, photography, and business, though teaching is my true passion.
About Me
I hold degrees in English and Education, and have worked as a teacher for nearly ten years. I am planning to continue studying, and plan to apply for PhD programs in 2023.
Experience
• Volunteered and facilitated Math Night, the only after school intervention on campus, designed to help parents and students with strategies and curriculum.
• Participated in school intervention programs for over seven years, offering academic assistance to students of various achievement levels.
• Co-authored a grant proposal that netted $8,400 for financially challenged 6th grade students to attend camp.
• Led GATE committee for two years, served four years at two different campuses.

Approach
Fostering student success is based upon building rapport, and differentiating instruction. It is of paramount importance that an educator gets to know his or her students, their interests, and areas of strength. With this knowledge, one can craft an approach to meet the specific needs of each individual.
