Fun Facts
I have completed four marathons and am training for my fifth! I love being outdoors, running, hiking, and reading!
About Me
I am a recent graduate of Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service, where I studied International Environmental Policy and Spanish. I am currently serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA with Great Basin National Park Foundation.
Experience
I have several years of classroom experience with students ranging from 18 months to 12th grade. I was fortunate to work with several skillful teachers who taught me how to connect with young students. I am comfortable tutoring in any subject with students in K - 8, as well as high school students studying Environmental Science. I am highly organized and encouraging, and am also able to teach study skills and homework coaching.
Approach
I believe that positive reinforcement is the best approach for all students, from those who may need extra help to students who are well above their grade level and need an extra challenge!
