Fun Facts
I have minors in history and environmental science and therefore thoroughly enjoy natural history. Soccer is my favorite sport and I love traveling all across the world to watch as many professional games as possible.
About Me
I am an experienced philosophy instructor with minors in history and environmental science. I also have experience teaching and tutoring high school Algebra through the Saga Education program. Furthermore, I have volunteer experience tutoring and working with elementary school students in a number of subjects. I am highly motivated to tutor and pass on knowledge to all age levels. I graduated from Virgina Tech where I currently hold a research position.
Experience
I have experience teaching undergraduate ethics courses at Virginia Tech. More recently, I have accepted a job offer to teach logic and practical reasoning at Spelman College. I have taught and tutored alegbra one through the saga education program ( a non-profit aimed at providing high impact math education to historically disadvatged groups) which allowed me to work with a diverse set of students and improve their learning outcomes. My approach to learning is varied and tailored to the needs of my students and expected learning outcomes. For this reason, I am patient in my teaching and tutroting approaches. I am able to provide rigor for students who need an educational challenge as well as scaffolding for students who need more foundational skills but also need to master more challenging material.
