About Me

I am a retired Math and Social Studies Teacher with 34 years of classroom experience. I have tutored after school for 29 of those years. I am wanting to get back to what I love which is , helping students in Math and Social Studies .

Experience

I have taught 5 years as a long term substitute teaching 7th Grade Math, 9th Grade Science , algebra/indiana/indianapolis">Pre Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and calculus/indiana/indianapolis">Pre Calculus. I have 29 Years of experience Teaching 7th and 8th Grade Math , 7th Grade Social Studies, and 8th Grade US History

Approach

I do not believe in just teaching subject material. I look to find where the holes are in the student's knowledge base and fill that in . At the same time , it is important to build the student's confidence level. This means getting to know the student and relating to him or her at their level.
