I have a passion for dog rescue! I can often be found hanging out with my 13-year old chihuahua-pug mix. She enjoys it when I sing Broadway show tunes to her.

About Me

I have been passionate about language since I decided in second grade that I was going to be a French teacher. I have taught writing in college as well as the linguistics courses required for teacher certification in Michigan, where I have been a lifelong resident. I have a long career teaching English to non-native speakers of all ages, language, and cultural backgrounds. I am driven by seeing my students achieve their goals.

Experience

I have taught ESL in a public school system, with private students, and through a self-employment contract. Supporting college and high school students with writing essays has been very fulfilling.

Approach

Flexibiity is the key. Every individual has a different learning style and I work to discover that. I have worked with many differently abled students, including those with dyslexia and ADD/ADHD.
