I love cooking, i have traveled in several countries , lived in Japan for 8 years, South Korea for four years and whils stationed onboard the USS Flying Fish, in 1977 had the opportunity to play softball at the North Pole.
About Me
Good afternoon, I am 64 years old and have been infatuated with Math since I was a child. It always came easy for me when I was in school and so, even as a middle school student, I was already finding great satisfaction in helping others understand "the language of MATH". I have had several Math instructors throughout my life and the ones that made Math enjoyable stand out in a positive light and the ones who said Math should be taught and learned in one direction only - did not - well they stood out, but not in a positive way.
I am always looking for even more ways to accomplish this goal. Having been a education/florida/palm-bay">Special Education instructor for 15 years helped me to even hone this concept to a higher level. I sincerely believe that everyone is capable of mastering "the language of Math" and it is my joy and privilege to lead them on this journey.

Approach
I discovered that Math like any other language has to be taught in a pattern, but not neccesarily in one so rigid as some Math instructors suggest. People learn in different ways, so it only stands to reason that we should teach Math in diverse ways. Some of us are visual learners, so let's teach them with visual cues etc.
