Fun Facts
I consider myself the "middle child" of our family (although my twin brother would say otherwise). I enjoy making smoothies so much since discovering how many things can go together to make them. I've also been overseas to Panama (thanks to very kind sponsors) for a mission trip; I would love to serve in a similar fashion again!
About Me
I earned a B.A. with college honors from Washington University in St. Louis in May 2020 in Psychological and Brain Sciences. My areas of interest include medicine in particular as I plan on developing my exposure to clinical environments that may involve neuroscience, physiology, and other medical sciences.
Experience
I have been afforded memorable experiences that encourage me to continue learning and helping others learn. This interest, as it grew with moments of helping students with course material throughout college, has helped me understand unique challenges students may face in academia. I recall that in college, whenever I had the opportunity to help someone, I used a basic approach that involved starting from a comfortable level of knowledge.
Approach
I always appreciated learning with the sense that you are free to ask questions before, during, or after learning, be it a live lecture, a review session, or simply a textbook study period. This is why I greatly admire the atmosphere of office hours, one where students can freely probe the professor without getting the sense that a question is “too dumb” to ask. I am thankful to have experienced this atmosphere as an undergraduate, and such a learning environment is what I hope to offer!
