I love yoga and hiking and being in beautiful nature. I grew up in Michigan, and midwestern values are a part of me.

About Me

My Bachelor's degree was in Business Education and my Master's in Communication, both from Michigan State University. I pursued additional studies in Communication at the University of Kansas and then left the Midwest for California where I've been ever since.

Experience

I am an experienced teacher and tutor and have worked with students of a variety of ages focusing mostly on reading, writing, homework and study and organizational skills. Teaching was in the field of communication with college students and adults in organizations.

Approach

I appreciate the one-to-one experience of tutoring where there is the opportunity to get to know a student and figure out how we can best work together for the student to get what they need both for increased skills and more confidence
