Fun Facts
In my free time, I volunteer at the American Red Cross or at my local community kitchen. I am from Salt Lake City, Utah and I've lived here all my life. I am also working as a medical assistant at the local hospital.
About Me
I'm a nursing at the University of Utah Honors College. In high school, I had a 3.9 GPA while taking 12 AP/IB/CE classes and was a member of the National Honor Society. In college, I am finishing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in three years while maintaining a 3.8 GPA.
Experience
I have worked as a teaching assistant at the afterschool music program at Riley Elementary where I taught music theory, piano, and sight reading to elementary-age children twice a week during the school year. As a member of Skyline High's Community of Caring, I tutored elementary school students weekly in all subjects and was recognized as one of the most effective tutors. I've also worked with tutoring agencies for years and now have many clients I tutor each day.
Approach
Being an older sister to twin siblings, I witnessed their dramatically different learning styles. My sister is a visual learner who learned through pictures and graphs whereas my brother is a kinesthetic learner who learned through hands-on activities. When I tutor, I will always take time to get to know each student and discover a learning style that fits their needs and produces the best results. I will also help students by helping them find studying techniques and tricks that fit them best.
