Fun Facts
Outside of academics and interning, my biggest passion is the outdoors, specifically hiking, biking, camping, and kayaking! Pretty much whenever I am not working, I am outside to either train for longer hikes or on a hike with some friends. I also love to travel and have lived in various locations all around the country from the east coast to the west coast!
About Me
I am a senior in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering at Purdue University. I have been on the Dean’s list for every semester I have been enrolled at Purdue! When I am not on campus, I have been interning at aerospace companies completing 5 independent internships. When I graduate, I plan to work for an aerospace company while pursing a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering focusing on acoustics or aerodynamics.
Experience
In high school, I was a tutor where I worked for a tutoring company my senior year. For the tutoring company, I taught math and science for all levels from fourth grade to seniors in high school, and I tutored individuals for the SAT and ACT. In addition, I tutored some of my neighbors in high school math subjects mostly on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. Lastly, I volunteered at a local elementary school to help first graders improve their math skills. I did this on a weekly basis.
Approach
My biggest academic belief is that everyone learns differently, so when I approach a student to tutor my first goal is to learn what teaching style best suits them. I then tailor sessions to be compatible with their learning style. I am also a huge proponent of not giving away answers and allowing students to figure out solutions on their own with guidance as necessary.
